The Great Canoe Trip of '84

My parents have all of these photo albums of pictures from before they were married, and it makes me so happy to look through them. I decided to scan some of my favorites so here is my father's documentation of their summer canoe trip in 1984...

Dad, Mom (she's so skinny!), their roommates Penny & Tom, George, Tricia, Dad's brother Bruce

I wish I could have met them...

Mt. Blue Cross Country!!

I would wear her outfit (on the right).

These bathing suits are wonderful.

I found this picture while cleaning my room today. I ripped it out of the newspaper months ago because I loved her expression. She's so beautiful.

Today's Outfit

I love mornings when an outfit just comes together.

Le Deuxième du Dimanche

Here is the next installment of photos from our shoot last Sunday. Changing clothes in the middle of Prescott Field was a tad bit exhilarating :) But before you see them, here is a recap of last weekend, possibly the busiest weekend I've ever experienced:

Friday night I went to see my favorite band, Crooked Still, and of course they were fantastic! If you're into neo-traditional bluegrass/folk music you should really check them out at: http://www.crookedstill.com/

Prom was Saturday and fortunately neither of us were invited so I got to take miss Emmy Jeanne! As I am the upperclassman, the duty fell on me :) Oooh, and before we had a lobster dinner at our dear friend Seth's so there shall be photo's coming from that.

I also had my dance recital both Saturday and Sunday afternoon so I'm not really sure how I was still standing up on Sunday night.

And we found out who made Voices! Welcome Alexaiya, Noah, and Jake :)

At any rate, this is the second set of the pictures we took with Addie, after we changed and began to head down the field. Our original intention was to get to Far Beach, but once we realized how far that was we gave up. Enjoy...

Wild Things

So I finally just watched Where the Wild Things Are with my family. And over all I have one thing to say: it was weird. Not like crazy weird, just different. About half of the movie just made me feel uncomfortable(like Revolutionary Road, just not as extreme) and it seemed very pointless. Not that that's a bad thing, it was just weird. But I did really like how the film was presented, because I can't really say I liked the cinematography or setting since it's almost all computer-generated.
And nevertheless, I must say that Max Records is adorable. In a very un-creepy way(even though he's only three years younger than me).

Drunkin' Donuts

So Ellie and I have been dying to find time to finally take some pictures. Unfortunately with our busy lives, it took us about a month to finally do it, but we did.
And also, we had Voices auditions today, and we had been worried about getting enough boys, but it seems like we'll do just fine. Which is exciting, can't wait for next year :)

Anyways, this was last Sunday, down at Prescott field with our wonderful Addie.

Our wonderful photographer Addie :) Ain't she gorgeous?!

Old jeans, yet new new shorts!

I bought these old jeans at the thrift store last year but they didn't really fit, so when I started looking for jean shorts earlier this spring I realized the jeans I already had would be perfect. I cut off the legs and found my favorite piece of clothing for summer: a pair of faded, vintage, high-waisted shorts.

And along with it, here is a sneak peek of how I spent my Sunday...

I love the label: "You are never bitter, deceptive or petty"

More to come...!
